When you're heading out for a hike this season or you're planning a trip, there are a few must have travel accessories that you can't leave home without. In this article we will be taking a closer look at some of the best low cost travel accessories around, and how these essential items will make your trip much easier and far more enjoyable. Read on to find out more...
When you're heading out into the great outdoors or to pastures new you don't want to weigh yourself down with too much kit. But, if you don't have the right kind of travel accessories with you, you'll end up wishing that you'd brought more gear along for the ride.
The key to packing essential travel accessories is to plan. Think about where you're heading, what the weather will be like, and what you plan on doing when you get there. Taking all of these things into consideration will help you create a list of must have items, and you won't end up with a heavy bag of useless gear that you just won't end up using. Packing this way will help to cut down on your bag weight, and you'll only ever pack those essential travel items.
Saving Space With The Right Travel Accessories...
Carrying a heavy bag is just no fun. You'll soon tire, and you feel like dumping your gear after a while. To help avoid this, it's a great idea to pack smaller travel items that will take up a lot less space in your rucksack or suitcase. Rather than lugging around your hair dryer, why not pack a miniature Design Go Power Dryer. This will cost the fraction of the price of a regular hair-dryer, and won't take up hardly any room in your bag.
But, you don't have to stop there. At Design Go, they have plenty of low cost essential travel items that will save you valuable space in your bag. If you're heading camping, then a torch is a real must have. Instead of taking your bulky household torch, why not opt for the compact Design Go Dynamo Torch? It'll take up a fraction of the room, and you'll have a lot more space for the rest of your gear.
Choosing The Right Travel Accessories For Your Trip...
If you're going to be taking your laptop along for the ride, make sure you leave that bulky travel case behind. Most laptop cases turn your lightweight computer into a cumbersome piece of kit, which adds weight and takes up a ton of space. Instead, try using a Design Go Laptop Sleeve. These come in a variety of sizes to fit your laptop size, and add no extra weight or bulk to your computer.
Last but not least, make sure you don't leave behind those essential travel adaptors, and your other must have gadgets. At Design Go, they carry everything from worldwide travel adaptors all the way through to earphones and cameras. So before you pack your bulky gear, make sure you check out their low cost space saving travel accessories range.

Voltage Converter 220 to 110 getting Very Very Hot?
I recently bought a wooden display unit that was made for exporting to USA and has US plug and 120V/40W 2 bulbs. I am in NZ and we have 220V here. I don't think it has a transformer but a small box that has touch control wiring in it as the bulbs glow when you touch the hinges on the door of the unit. I bought one of these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLTAGE-CONVERTER-ADAPTER-SWITCH-110-220V-SAFE-PROMOTE_W0QQitemZ390033224617QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_TravelTickets_Accessories_RL?hash=item390033224617&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1690|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318
I lugged it in the bulbs are working but this converter is getting extremely hot and started to smell. I am using the converter with the black selector set to 220V. I switched it off and opened the unit and some sort of plastic strings around the transformer inside has melted. It still works but gets so hot you can't touch it after about 15-20 minutes then I switch it off? What is wrong?
Good lord, go unplug it. If you want it to run just pull one leg (red or Black) and use the other with the neutral (white) and the ground. That will give you the 110V you need.
The way you have it now WILL cause a fire. Not might, not could----WILL
