2005 GMC Envoy I have to hold alarm reset button down as I turn the key to get the car to start-sometimes.?

it all started when upon starting the envoy, the alarm went off and I couldn't seem to keep it from going off. it took a few minutes. the next morning envoy was dead. it happened to start. next time the envoy was dead we tried to jump to no avail. took battery in, perfectly fine. we also had removed the horn fuse, as the tow man was about to load the envoy, he reset the alarm switch located on the dash panel. envoy started right up, avoided the tow. next time vehicle wouldn't start until i held the alarm reset button down as i turned the key. not sure what it will do next. i need help. thank you,
OK I called the dealership. They said it was an after market alarm and recommended I take it to a shop that installs alarms and have them disable the alarm. The tow man said the reason it would start sometimes was if the alarm had gone off enough to drain the battery. I did take it to have the alarm disabled and now my problem is solved.
