Hot to ground 120V,Hot to neutral 60V?
When I use a plug checker it says outlet wired correctly. plug in lamp,no light. I am working with
Wirecon self contained receptacles. At the panel there is a Bryant 15A twin breaker. 2 circuits on the same phase.I get 120V from breaker to neutral and to ground. I move 1 of the circuits to a 1P15A breaker, same problem. Any clues.
There is no legitimate way to get 60 Volts.
The way residential is wired, you can only get 120 Volts, or 240 Volts.
The only way I can imagine is if you have a loose neutral wire, or floating ground wire, but then that could likely affect all circuits.
Check your neutral wires --- that is likely the problem.
Maybe a loose neutral wire somewhere.
