Is the surname Péloquin common in Québec?
My mother's paternal line was descended from Francois Peloquin dit Credit, arriving in 1690 in Canada. When we took a trip to Montreal, he said the name Peloquin was common, like Jones or Brown in the U.S. If any of you are residents in Quebec, is Peloquin a common surname?
Hello
No Peloquin would be a family name so this would make you Joe Brown Peloquin dit Credit
but "the dit Credit"would be a wee bit too much.As for Peloquin it is not a common name as Brown
is in the U.S.A.

P.S.forgive me for the accents as this keyboard is english
