can i install fuse holder in the trunk?
hey guys, i just installed my amp wiring kit today and im wondering if it's ok to connect the fuse holder to the power wire all the way at the trunk?? the installation instruction that comes with the kicker wires shows that the anl fuse is installed at the trunk so that is why i did it.
You MUST install a fuse at or near the battery connection. As long as there's a fuse at the battery, you can also install a fuse in the trunk if you wish. If the only fuse is in the rear, there's no protection for the length of wire between the battery and the fuse.
This assumes that your battery is in the front, not in the trunk.
