How to open hood on Porsche Boxster s when Battery Dead?

My battery went dead on my 2001 boxster s. I have been trying to jump the pullout jumper point in the fuse box with no luck. All it is doing is clicking. I have a battery with 12.6 volts of power and I have negative from Battery to door post and the hot from the battery to the pullout hood contact poiunt and all it does is click. Any ideas??

im assuming when you say youre using the pull out jumper that youre using it to open the hood and not jump starting the car. it will only jump start directly from the battery. perhaps the unlocking mechanism is weak. try having someone assist you by pushing down on the hood while you try unlocking. good luck!
