Good skin care practices can help to maintain firm, smooth, and healthy skin. Eventually, though, time and sun exposure take a toll on the skin's appearance. Our faces aren’t the only parts of our body that succumb to lifelong sun exposure and collagen breakdown. The good news is that just as there are treatments to rejuvenate aging skin on the face, there are treatments that can make the neck, décolleté, hands and legs more youthful.
When we look for the reasons for our aging skin, we need to look no further than the sun. The sun causes 90 percent to 95 percent of the wrinkles; lines; brown, red and white discolorations; and more on our bodies. That’s why the sun-exposed areas, including the backs of the hands, are most prone to the imperfections.

Hydrocortisone Creams. These over-the-counter creams (name brands include Cortaid, Dermolate, Lanacort, and CaldeCORT) are about as strong as anything your doctor could prescribe. Hydrocortisone creams are relatively safe. They will clear up nearly any minor rash, but they suppress a condition rather than cure it. To use, rub a very small amount into the rash. You have used too much if you can see any remaining cream on your skin. You may repeat the application as necessary, which is usually every two to four hours. If problems persist, consult a doctor.
Sometimes a skin rash can be caused by laundry detergent. If the rash appears only where your clothes touch your skin, try switching laundry detergents to something milder. Arm & Hammer produces a very mild laundry detergent. Dreft is another mild detergent, formulated specifically for babies, but it is much more expensive the Arm & Hammer.

How do treat dry skin?
To prevent or treat dry skin, avoid long, hot showers or baths as they can dry the skin even more. Choose your soaps carefully. Look for soaps that have natural, pure ingredients without harsh perfumes and chemicals. A moisturizing soap for sensitive skin can be a good choice. There are also bath products made with oatmeal created for dry, itchy skin that can be found at drug stores.
Open wounds that do not show signs of infection (purulent drainage, odor, darkened areas) can be cleaned with a sterile normal saline solution. The area around the wound should also be cleaned with mild soap. When infection is present, the wound can be cleaned with hydrogen peroxide or an enzymatic agent - though ongoing use of hydrogen peroxide retards healing and should be avoided. In some cases, infected tissue is removed surgically in a hospital.

my ground to to dry to dig?
I'm trying to put a volley ball set and tether ball pole in my backyard but I can't get it into the ground. My ground is just too dry for the poles to go in.I've tried hammering them into it, but only to bend the pole.I dug a lil hole and put water in hoping to softer it up but still nothing.I don't want to go out and buy a hole digger, plus I think it would be to wide.
Take another rod or pole you do not mind tearing up and hammer it into the ground a little but pull it back up. fill with water and let set until water gone or near gone and hammer it in again and pull it back up. It will take some time. Once you get down a foot or so should not be so hard. If you do make a big hole for a small pole then have someone hold the pole where you want it and put in a little dirt and pack it down. another inch or 2 of dirt and again pack it down. Use a board end or hammer head and just pack the dirt down adding a little at the time. By the time you fill up the hole the pole should be good and steady.
