Port Forwarding?
Ok heres the deal - I'm trying to set up port forwarding on my computer. I've set up a static IP address and I know the port that I want to forward.
I think my router's IP address is 192.168.2.1 because my computer's IP address is 192.168.2.10.
My router is a Siemens Speedstream 4200
So when I type in the IP address which I believe belongs to the router in the address bar of internet explorer it takes me to Bell Canada Modem Configuration (instead of a Siemens speedstream 4200 page) and when I click "setup" it brings me to an 'internet service login' page prompts me to "enter my User ID and Password and press Save Settings to continue". It already has them in there so I press save settings and it just brings me back to the original "modem status" page with all the connection info. ??????? How do I go forward with this?
The Siemens Speadstream 4200 is a Modem . You need to put a router behind that modem. you amy also need to put the modem into bridge mode.
