Intertherm gas heater. ?
I have a 84 model mobile home with a Intertherm propane gas heater. The pilot light is lit. There seems to be no power to the thermostat, which is 2 wire. I've replaced it with a new one, which also does not work. I've attached the alligator clips to the white and red but heater still does not kick on. Blower motor works when I flip the switch to on.(on, off, auto). Circuit breaker works. What are the chances that the transformer needs to be replaced? Does that control power to the t-stat? What could be other causes for no power to T-stat? Thanks.
could be a bad transformer but that is rare...more likely is a tripped limit that is manual reset, such as a draft safety limit...or the main gas valve wasnt turned back to the "on" position after the pilot was lit....dan
